Posts: 5 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: Doblo EGR Valve!!! thanks anybody got any ideas whats causing this(does it have air flow meter)its been well serviced not long had oil change and air filter and fuel filter, was doing this before the fuel filter change, some mornings it starts like a tractor and somtimes it starts ok (new glow plugs fitted few month back)still no better atb dobberdoblo i am going to sell it on and get somthing else.

I am having exactly the same problem ive been told various things like water in fuel, faulty solenoid on pump and dirty injectors ..I have replaced solenoids and put injection kleener in it and it has made no difference ,,, drivin me mad ![]()

Posts: 102 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Doblo EGR Valve!!! I have replaced my pump albeit for a second hand one and is exactly the same. Someone once said on here that theirs did it from new and they all do it but was fixed at main dealer by an ecu update????

I’ve suffered the same hesitant throttle and general off feeling with the engine too. I cleaned out the oil/soot gunk from the EGR and surrounding plumbing and changed the fuel filter and MAP sensor. The van ran much better, but the feeling that the engine was being starved of fuel and causing the engine to miss (as if a spark plug was failing on a petrol engine) remained and gradually got worse. Eventually the van wouldn’t start at all, but would cough into life for a few moments then die as though no fuel was getting through. I decided not to go down the route of checking all the fuel lines etc for blocks or whatever thinking actually maybe it’s the throttle that’s not opening correctly at low revs that’s causing the hesitant feeling on acceleration. Turns out it was the little sensor down by the dip stick that appears to control the vacuum and opening of the throttle valve. It’s called the EGR valve pressure converter and takes about five minutes to change! Immediately the van started and runs like dream, with the engine sounding smooth and just like it should. I’ve a 2005 1.9 multi jet cargo van non turbo if this helps.
