Hi

I have owned my '56' 1.9 Doblo MJT (7 seater) Diesel from new but this evening it decided to start flashing the oil warning light and 'Change Engine Oil' in the display panel, as I was coming down the M4, on the way back from Heathrow. I have already had a problem with the 'Engine' warning light (3 months after purchase !) and wonder if its just another sensor glitch ? It isn't due its next service until Dec 2008, where it will get an oil change then.

Is it likely to be a sensor glitch or because it gets used for driving around town etc ?

thanks

I'm assuming its the Oil Degredation sensor deciding the oil is knackered

cars fitted with this don't usually get an oil change at service and have a separate section in the service handbook for oil change "stamps"

Oh it definitely had an oil change at its last service ! The oil cost £100 atleast !

Just been to the garage - admittedly not FIAT but good enough - all the gear allegedly. Didn't seem to be able to reset the service switch so despite having had an oil change etc. the light was still flashing as before and saying the panel 'Change engine oil'. Anyway, its going back so hopefully will get it sorted !:bang:

NOPE !

My local garage has gone down in my estimation. I should have gone to Fiat in the first place. Only god thing was that the oil was a lot cheaper !

Did the fiat garage manage to reset the light? Iv had 2 oil changes and filter and sensor changes done by the garage I bought my doblo from and the change oil light still comes on despite him turning it off with the diagnostic machine.
