Technical number plate light on a Doblo

I need to replace a number plate light on the back of my Doblo. I went to Halfords and they didn't know how to fit it. Strange, neither does the Doblo manual.

How do I get at the old bulb to replace it. I have tried taking the plastic/glass off but it doesn't seem to want to come - Halford's idea. I can't see any other way in. What is the secret - short of rubbing a magic lamp and saying the magic words.

Not sure if its the same on the face lifted Doblo but on Mrs_G's 2004 model:

Grab hold of the light unit and slide it about 5mm to the left, you are pushing against a spring clip. With the light in this position remove from the door.

Thanks, That did the trick. I just moved the whole black casing for the lamp to the left and then it eased out. Changing the bulb was then simple.
