I previously had a doblo 1.9 jtd and this was also happening in that

does anyone else experience this and what did they do the fix it?:bang:

if you've just bought it don't hang around ,straight back to wear you purchased it from

i will do on monday but i just wanted to make sure that it was something wrong and not normal ( as i said this happened in my last doblo)

Thankx for your help, i will go on monday, i suppose i was just hoping against all hope that it wasnt a problem as we go on holiday monday evening:cry:

Might be worth finding out how much it will cost to hire a similar vehicle for your holiday incase the stealer fails to fix your fault. Mention this to the service manager when you speak to him on Monday - it'll let him know you're not to be messed with.

just a quick note to say thanks to you all, i have been to fiat and they have said that the bearing in the front wheel is gone, so they need to replace it, this will be done on friday as i go away for a couple of days in a hour or so(y) hey did say it was safe to drive so i hope the wheel doesnt fly off on the motorway(n)
anyway thanks to everyone:worship:

wow, dodgy bearing in a brand new car. that doesn't do Fiat any favours if they want to attract new customers (n).

Hmmm, just seen this and am very concerned by diagnoses. I have noticed a similar sound on my brand new 1.3 Cargo Multijet - just 800 miles new - when reversing on full l/hand lock. I'd have described I as a loud click/crack.
Back to the garage not a realistic option as dealer is approx 300 miles away - an internet buy you see. I think I'll be giving Fiat UK a call ASAP! You're right, this does not bode well for Fiat's quality control.

Fiat UK unaware of any endemic problem but we'll see what the verdict is after steering has been examined by local Fiat dealer on Wednesday. I'll report back on the outcome.

Yup, official verdict - also a faulty wheel bearing. Who'd have thought.
Am I downhearted? No. It's still a great vehicle and, back when I had a series of Passat estates, their rear wheel bearings would go regularly, every 30,000 miles - not enough grease packed into the bearing during manufacture apparently.
