Inspired by Techno-PC's recent post......

"I am taking the "ugly bugger" in for her first service"

I thought I'd see what other names we have given to our cherished Doblos.

Ours is sometimes called 'Dobbin' but more commonly 'the Pope mobile'.

Love to hear your names.....

"The Dobster":D

Coming from near Bolton I'm unfortunately infected by " Paddy & Max "
AKA Peter Kaye.:)

Wonders how much modding it would need to make it look like a Borg Cube :D

We tend to refer to ours as 'dobby'. However the lads at work have labelled it 'the sunshine bus' and 'the fishtank'
I wanted an 07 reg one so we could call it James Bond (doblo7 if anyone hasn't got it)

Rather sadly I called mine Debbie last weekend in a vague hope to appeal to the God of motoring and let me make it to my destination. (Driving nearly 200miles with exhaust snapped just behind the cat and held together with silencer bandage!)

She made it there and back before I had to do a better repair. Hoping to take it to Longlife exhausts next week... can only be cheaper than Kwik Fit!

Thanks for all your names. They are generally more affectionate than I thought! The winner has to be Doblo7 James Bond.

We way we refer to our Doblos probably says as much about us than it does about the cars. I get the feeling we are a pretty hard-working and friendly if mature bunch.

Compare our responses to this thread to this similar one https://www.fiatforum.com/leisure-lounge/14887-does-any-one-have-pet-names-car.html
which seems to be by somewhat younger Punto owners........

Mine was going to be bubble - i.e double bubble, however after developing starting problems on its first outing I'm thinking more of double b*****d, you can guess the rest. There my chest feels lighter already..:bang:

I can just see the Doblo being the next Bond car :D

We call mine the "Battle Bus" so perhaps an episode of the A-Team would be more appropriate?
I do like the idea of Bond going do to Q branch and being given the keys, then heading up to the car park only to find he's got a 1.3 Multijet Doblo. Plenty of room for the gadgets though. (y)
