Hi, All
I Have a 2002 Doblo jtd elx,
How can I find out if it is compliant with a OBD1 or 2 Reader?,
There is a 16 pin socket on the fuse box,
I am looking to purchase a code reader for diagnostics a hand reader,i.e., U380 ISO9141-2 ISO14230-4 OBD 2 SCANNER CODE READER on ebay

How can I find out this info? before I go any further.

If it is compatible, Would it be better to run a general diagnostic program, using a laptop?,
OOOOH Lotsa questions

If it helps, mine 2002 doblo diesel has pins 1,3,4,5,6,7 (top row reading L to R)
then 9, 12, 13, 14 (bottom row, L to R). Rest are blank.

Fom all the ebay adverts looks like most systems only work on diesels 2004 onwards.

I notice that pin 16 is not connected & i think that is normally 12v power. Does that mean the device this engine needs its own power?

Any update would be handy. Thanks. K

Answer is yes it appears to be. See my last thread on fiatecuscan that worked a threat.

Daft question perhaps, would this software allow me to marry up a replacement instrument panel to the cars body computer/main ECU, as the display flashes continuously?

For completeness...
YES.. FIAT/MULTIECUSCAN should do this on a vehicle that is compatible.

I've done it myself on a Stilo with upgraded dash. Etc
