can any one tell me how much they are from the dealer and are they easy to fit thanks

Hi--- they are about £131 from Fiat, but I'm unable to say if they are difficult to fit as my 1.9JTD ELX has them ready fitted. There is a seller on ebay (Trading Direct) offering an easy-fit set-up for Doblo (and probably any vehicle) to include 4x sensors, colour coded if required, at £40 Buy It Now plus p&p. Regards,John

i cant find them mate do you have the link?
are yours on a dobl then?? how good do you find them?

Search ebay for item number

then check out all the "other items for sale" re colours.

Mine are on a 2002 Doblo JTD ELX, and comprise 4xsensors-- i think the newer fitting is only 2xsensors at the extremes of the rear bumper

I think they're very useful-- but mine are a bit temperamental, and can just sound constantly when engaging reverse ,in wet weather particularly, but they soon dry out and function correctly.

how about theses 1s they are genuine fiat would they be the better choice?
auction number 250225476000

Forget sensors, buy a camera.
I bought a wireless camera on ebay for under £50 & it really is a Godsend.
Parking in the high street really is a doddle when you can get to within an inch of the car behind (and heaps of fun if the owner is sat watching you reverse, as the towbar nears their number plate you can alsmost smell the skidmarks forming in their jockeys .

I have the camera fixed inside the trim above the number plate (between the plate lights) so it isn't really visible.
Objects come into view at about 4 feet & because it is a camera you can get close enough to grip a sheet of paper between the cars.
I have mounted the screen to the shelf so it hangs above the mirror, close to the windscreen (where the black shading is) and the power cable runs along the shelf & down the plastic trim beside the windscreen into the fuse box.

My dad's car had factory fit sensors on his Honda & they were useless below 12" - which is really when you need them most.

what happened there? why were they removed?
I guess because the poster was blatantly advertising?
They mentioned that their company sold the sensors (very cheap).
All the sensors I've seen are OK to 12" / 30cm, but that's the area where a reversing aid is most needed. With my camera, I can reverse into far tighter spaces than I would normally, simply because I can reverse to within a gnat's hair of whatever is behind me, allowing extra room in front to manouvre, AFAIK, you can't get that accurate with sensors.

Oh I see.

It would be nice to have a camera, you could really freak people out by reversing right up to their front bumper

It does - like you wouldn't believe:devil:
THE most fun you can have is to reverse right up to their bumper (whilst they are watching), leave the tiniest of gaps then get out & calmly walk away.
I really need to install a second camera to record the looks on people's faces. I reckon with a half decent video camera, you could pinpoint the moment they $hit themselves as they realise you aren't going to stop

You pays yer money & takes yer chances.

There should be a set of destructions with the sensors if they are brand new.
If not, there may be a website for the company who makes them.
Otherwise, try googling 'how to fit reversing sensors'

there is a set but they dont make any sence i try googling see what i can find

Just a guess but sensors to be attached to bumper, feed wires through into a control box (placed in boot). Pos & neg from control box, pos to reverse light, neg to earth. Additional cable out of box to display mounted on dash.

Look at the bumper, it has a number of circles moulded into it to accommodate sensors.

yeah but it say some think about connecting to the gear box or you think i could just go to the rear lights.
i just seen the picture or your rear camara look very good

No idea about the connection. All the ones I've looked at simply scotched into the reversing lights.
My one regret with the camera is not buying one that works in really low light - although reverse & brakes do give plenty of light, I have to press a button on the screen to really lighten the display.
