hi all, basically, my parents have bought a new doblo (they had the older version a couple of years ago).
I've noticed a few possible problems, the first one being, the radio doesn't turn off with the ignition? I know its probably the way its wired up, but does anyone else have this problem?
secondly, the dealership it was bought from had to supply a new key (the main one) as they lost the one the car was supplied with, question is, is it meant to be the newer flip out black key? (personally I thought it should be, as its brand new, with the red badges) the one they've been given is a blue key from the older model doblo with the button in the middle, any ideas?

thanks in advance(y)

Radio is annoying, would need to connect up to ignition supply, personally if you like music upgrade the speakers & get sony (etc) headunit.

Key is still same (from memory!) but above all make sure the lost key is wiped from memory!

ok thanks for your help, I presume the old key has been erased, they'll probably change the HU soon anyway as its not that great, but in the mean time its damn annoying (and I don't even drive it lol)

Hi James - I got my Doblo new in December and it came with an old fashioned key (ie not flip-out). One has the transmitter to operate the c/locking and the spare that doesn't!

Radio does seem to wired the way you say. Not sure why. I've soon got used to it but why they do it differently from 'standard' I'm not sure.

If this is the factory fit Cd/Radio/MP3 player
the time can be set for 0 minute or 20 minutes after the ignition is turned off

Select Menu then scroll up or down until you see iGN Time
Then scroll left or right to select 0 or 20 mins

If you want to listen to the radio/CD after you have removed the Key just press the on Button.
or see page 19 of the sound system manual that came with the car if its a factory fit player

it is the factory fit blaupunkt unit, but the menu is basic and no sign of the ignition timer, think the only solution is to rewire it, but thats hassle, will see what parents say

Mines the facttory fit mp3 player in the new 07 model no idea who makes it, I certainly wouldn't recommend it to those thinking of getting the player fisted as default for the £100 it cost I could have got a much nicer sony one with more functionality- e.g. there is no random play etc for the mp3 player

I had the same problem with my factory fitted radio. I played about with the menu on there and it changed the settings. It stayed on after I switched off the ignition and had to turn it off manually. So I played about again and put it back to switching off at the ignition as its more convenient.
Cant remember what I did but you can definetely alter the settings without altering the wiring
