strange one i know..

can the doblo tailgate go nearly or vertical when the dampers are removed ?

there are some scenarios where i may need palletes loaded on..so i thought if i unclip the tailgate dampers and use powerfix style fold out supports to hold the tailgate up ?

not something I've thought about trying...

Are you thinking of buying new? If I'm correct, all new passenger models now come with the tailgate but in earlier years there was a choice of tailgate or doors (there was a good thread discussing the benefits of both).
My initial thought is that the bodywork will prevent-it from going past the horizontal, but will have a look in the daylight.

The curvature of the roof part of the tailgate would prevent it going vertical. As it is, when it is up to its max, the roof portion of the tailgate almost touches the hinges.

Just checked. Twin rear doors are still an option - only £60, we paid £250

Just a thought.
I imagine the body is built as a standard unit & later someone decided to chuck a tailgate or a set of doors at it, maybe the mountings are somewhere in the sides to accommodate doors?
Although SOD's law says it won't be as simple as removing the tail & simply bolting a pair of doors into existing holes.
