Can anyone tell me how to get the back cover off my Doblo headlights?
I have tried unhooking the two spring clips and giving it a "gentle" pull but it won't budge:cry:Is there another clip or screw that needs undoing?Or do I just need to apply more force? It's a 2001 model with the old style lights that have a grey plastic cover on the back.

I guess it just needs a bit more pressure. Perhaps a squirt of WD40 my help loosen the seal?

The wire clips just hinge up and out of the way. Be careful not to dislodge one when replacing the bulb (like I did ), took ages fishing it out of the depths of the engine bay.

So, why is it that things 'light related', when trying to remove them, always end up in the depths of the bodywork - in my case, never to be seen again?

Why on earth did someone believe it was a great idea to put something like a nut or a clip in a difficult to access position where an innocent slip would cause said item to drop into the bowels of the earth?

Because they don't think!!! The extra tool that you need to change the rear light bulbs (see sticky on the subject) is the same as you needed for a Fiat 128, about 30 years ago!!! You can still loose the nut!

The guy in the parts dept said it was a common problem & some get around it by stuffing a piece of foam into the void under the nut.
