It never rains but it pours.....

Mrs_G's Cargo is about to cost us a small fortune.

1. Due for a cambelt service. Front pipe of exhaust found to be holed during service. During removal front section of second pipe (cat i believe) fell apart - £300 - £400 !!! Garage attempting a repair before ipting for replacement.

2. Brakes failed on Thursday - suspected faulty master cylinder. £ ????

3. Glow plug light flashing. During removal of 1st glow plug, it turned for about 6 turns then refused to come out any further or go back in !!! Head coming off for repair/replacement £???????? !

They just don't build'em like they used to.

....and there was me only yesterday saying how its been so good to you all these miles

Sounds like it's going to be expensive , but I still think your van is a really good advert for the Doblo with the miles that you've covered in such a short time.

Head is now at a specialist. They will be removing the old glowplugs, giving the valves a leak test, checking surface for level etc.

My garage tech tell me the bores look like an engine with less than 50,000 miles on it! Hope to get the head back tomorrow IF its not beyond repair.
