Don't know about the specs of the new Kangoo but when I was looking round, I compared the Kangoo, berlingo & doblo.
The doblo was...
Cheaper to buy.
Cheaper to insure.
More economical (and if you believe the reports, less liable to breakdown)
The new shape doblo was longer and taller & gave better all-round visibility.
I test drove all 3 before settling on the dobbin.
The bonnet shape of the berlingo obscured much when trying to manouvre, the driving position in the Kangoo & Berlingo left a lot to be desired in any case.
I had a freecycler collect some items. Both he & his wife were admiring the dobbin & wished they'd gone for it so they could fit all their tribe in more comfortably. They also pointed out the back windows on their kangoo were tilt only (much like the boot windows of the dobbin) & they wished theirs opened better.
To be honest, waiting a few minutes for the car to warm up is waaaaaay down on my list of priorities for a car.
On the cold & frosty mornings & simply go outside with my coffee & porrige, fire the engine, scrape the windows then sit in the car eating my (now cool enough to eat) breakfast & drinking my coffee & bask in the tranquility.
By the time I've eaten & drank & put my bowl to soak in the sink, the front screen is demisted.
That said, this will be my first winter with dobbin so who knows? But will I change the habits of a lifetime?
