General 1.3 Doblo Remap Results

Well

taken the plung gone for a remap by angel booked in for the 28th of this month....

its this or a replacement doblo (the 1.3 7 seater family diesel doblo's fine around town but on a long run it suffers especially loaded with holiday stuff ) .... hope it works ?

will report back...

remap first impressions :

angel tuning turned up today took about an hour and a half to carry out the works .. the result... the dobbin (1.3 multijet) now has very little turbo lag (turbo used to kick in a round 2000rpm) therefore alot smoother................. a lot more power between the gear changes..the engine overall alot more responsive... Please note I 've only done around 25 miles since the remap ....

I am towing a 600kg box trailer (locally) over the next few days starting saturday .. therefore will test the remap further...

Pulled a double axle box trailer over the weekend, yeap there is a distinct difference to the before and after.... setting off, going up hills and general smoothness of the power delivery.............

so therefore at present its worth it... if you have a 70bhp diesel 1.3 dobbin I would at this stage recommend a remap ....

Hope the remap is going well, what performance would you say the doblo is in comparison to other cars, the wife has took a fancy to the ulysse 03 on wards
just wondering if similar performance with a remapped doblo,still looking to get ours done.

I would say the dobbin now feels more like a 1.6 than a 1.3...... but the remap only affects the torque and an overall quicker response to the engine when required , overtaking , going up hills... the remap does not affect the top end speed

the ulysse's are 1.9's 2.0 .........

Yes, do a search on the forum. The Angel Tuning group use Doblo's and they're all tuned, there have been posts about it before

no increase in mpg if honest the remap has reduced the mpg overall... decrease is about 1-2 mpg..... going off the computer... but i didn't have the remap for more mpg ! but more power... still happy

Well then if thats what you want they will do it.... I wanted extra power for towing capability... but i'm sure that you can have it tailored for your needs just give them a call and discuss... they have lots of dobbins and have done lots .. the engineer who did mine turned up in the same vechicle that i have.... !!

I find that my in car display reads around 63.5 mpg over a long run at a steady speed anyway. Taking into account over exuberance by Fiat that may be about 57mpg. Smooth driving is the key to good mpg.

Studies of people using fuel saving potions usually find that they sub-conciously change their driving style to be more economical and that is why the improvements in mpg are found.

it ain't any fuel save potion its POWER, ACCELERATION , RESPONSIVENESS..................
