Just bought new Doblo 14.feb 07.Had ocassion to have pasenger window open when I noted a light squeeking noise from either back or front wheel when car travelling between 20 and 60kph.Left car with dealer for a week stated 1 that they did not hear it and when pushed they said they didnt know nexactly the cause and that they would have to strip several wheel parts to find the exact cause and that FIAT would not pay the warranty charge!!!!

Your comments please.

They won't pay to resolve a squeak on warranty... they wouldn't with the back windows on mine but did kindly try their best (under the garages own discretion) try to stop the squeaking from my rear anti-roll bar mounts - but I had to tell them what was causing the squeak. After all it's only a small annoying noise, it's not like anything is broke or even wrong it's just a squeak.

You could just have something on the disc that's causing the squeak when it passes the pad... does it go when you break etc.

Best thing to do is try to find out yourself then take it to Fiat if it is anything major which I doubt very much :)

There's a number of possibilities, but as I'd recommend just "turn the radio up :D"

I've got an 06 plate (July) Doblo and so far it's been fine. The only squeaks I get are from the plastics inside the car. I don't like the sound of the warranty, is it worth leaving the servicing to Fiat for 3 years if they won't fix a problem when you get one

If I knew how slippery Fiat were regarding getting out of paying for warranty work then there would have been no way I would have used a fiat dealer for as long as I did on Mrs_G's Cargo.

Find a good independant garage and have them service the car using genuine Fiat parts (get a reciept to prove this). If you need to make a claim for something major then I believe Fiat still have to honour the claim. Obviously they will try and wriggle out of it, they did on Mrs_G's Cargo even though at that point it had a 100% fiat dealer service history.

My Dobbie squeaks too. Its the brakes. At low speed a pad rubs a bit - the squeak goes if I press the brake pedal and comes back upon release. (y)

Somebody mention Fiat warranty

As long as the garage uses the same parts that a Fiat dealer would use, and you have a receipt to prove it then they will honour the warranty - sorry they HAVE to honour the warranty :)

And be VAT registered.

If a goodwill gesture is made on the car it will more likely be accepted if it has been serviced at a Fiat dealer.
