Has anyone actually spoken to Penderyn to see if there's any issue with meeting there?

It's still a working distillery with tours running through the day, so I can't imagine them being very happy at non-paying customers taking up their few (dozen or so?) spaces (unless I've missed it and you are planning to take the tour?). I don't think they'll let you go on the right hand side as you come off the road either as that's where they load/unload etc.

That's a fair point, maybe worth seeing if there's a carpark in that village where the distillery is?

I've no idea of the operation they run,

but if the FIAT crew use their on-site public cafe, then they are paying customers like any other (y)

MI hold 50% of their meets at roadside Cafe's - never an issue ;)

Exactly that hence have a drink and a bite to eat/chat mingle with each other can't see there being an issue.

Theres no cafe there boys

This.

The most you'll be able to buy at Penderyn outside of their own products (Merlyn is a favourite of mine) is an ice cream.

The site is small. All that's there is the distillery, some space for the tour (which includes a non-public bar where you get tasters as part of their tour) and a small gift shop where you can buy their products and souvenirs. That's it. You're not going to be able to rock up and find bacon butties and mugs of tea on tap, it ain't no roadside cafe!
