have you the details of the red one the lady had?
I don't have a picture of the one I herd about

I always preferred the Mk1 with its rectangular headlights and flat front.

Had a Turbo i.e. for 18 years. Paintwork was bright red until 2006 when I drove it to Corfu for 6 months. When I got back, it was pink where it had been parked out in the sun.
.

Have you still got the Turbo Croma?

I think I would go for the Mk1 if I could find one, myself.

A red CHT came up in Ireland about five years ago. It was in a barn and I was in touch with the lady who had it and she sent me pictures of it.
But ultimately- I didn't go for it.

(already having three cars at the time)

Can you get a picture of the one you are aware of locally, Icom..?
Have you the details of the barn find one in Ireland?

Hey Davren-

You know what's really interesting about the instrumentation on your Mk1, there?

It's exactly the same choice of gauges & orientation as a Coupe-turbo, which came out years later.
(Except of course; not standard Coupe-turbo came with a vacuum-gauge)
There was a shaped dashboard piece of metal over them and the dial-fronts were different of course; but the layou was the same- oil on the left and coolant / fuel on the right.

No Icom- there's not a chance I've still got the contact details for the lady who had the CHT.
If you had legacy issues of Auto Italia magazine, from about 2012 to 2014, you might find the ad in the classified section.
I 'might' still have the pictures she sent me of it on an external-drive; I'll check tomorrow.

The car came with a separate 8 page booklet just to describe the instrument panel.

The automatic heater had a self diagnostic system. Hold the "Automatic" button in, then turn on the ignition and you could step through various functions such as flap positions, temperatures and sensors etc.

I've still got the original 14 page advertising booklet, owner's handbook, instrument panel booklet, Fiat workshop manual and a slightly faded parts microfische slide.

That's amazing!

I love those diagrams - they're like cartoon-photos, aren't they?

I had something like that for the Mk1, but the i.e. only had manual cabin-ventilation.
The Mk2 had the auto-panel you have there.

I've still got one actually- I took it from a Thema in a scrapyard at the time as I thought it would be handy if the panel in the Mk2 ever went over.
It didn't.

Still got my workshop manual too!

Hi I don't have that I wonder is it still with her if you have the pics it might help

sorry- forgot my external drive today; so It'll be tomorrow before I dig out my 'croma-corner' folder.

I don't think there's a chance the car still exists in Ireland, Icom.

At the time of correspondence; the lady had had the vehicle stored in a barn for a period of time, and was attempting to sell it as a last resort. It was hardly a 'sought after' model at the time, and I got the impression it was a quick sale, or scrap.

The registration would of course confirm or deny that from DVLA databases.
We'll find out tomorrow.
