Hi All

First actual post (apart from asking for help) although I've been reading the forums for a while, when I was actually still using my Croma.

The point of this post.

Does anyone want the car cheap? All that I really want is a good drink and I want the Diesel out of it (almost a full tank), so you'll need to bring an electric fuel pump, or pay me for the Diesel, I don't mind either way.

Anyway, she's a 1.9 Diesel, MOT'd until 16th March '21 (currently SORN) she runs and drives without a problem. However, there are issues.

It was bought as an "I need a car today" so I really wasn't too bothered. But from memory...

The ignition key sometimes won't release without using the emergency key to get it out, or, depending on what mood it's in, you have to use the emergency key to turn the key to start it. I think it depends on the weather :)

The engine management light is on, but according to the code, the problem is the EGR valve, which we've tried stripping down and cleaning, but that didn't solve it.

The alarm/immobiliser doesn't work (at least, according to the dash) and I don't think that the electronic steering lock engages.

Someone opened a car door on me as I was driving past and she's been damaged on the rear need side door and the leading edge of the rear nearside wheel arch.

When I stripped the rear door down it all went horribly wrong with the rear window (it unwound itself) so the rear window is now u/s. The door can't be locked, but I've disconnected the outside door handle so that it can't be opened from outside. Also, having broken the two front internal door handles, they've been nicked out of the back.

I do have a spare one now (I can't remember which side), but that'll come with it.

The passenger side sun visor, I think the spring has gone, and it won't stay up on its own. Again, I bought a spare, never got around to replacing it, but you're welcome to it.

I only have one key. I did have two, but I've no idea what happened to the other one. The key shell has been replaced and the remote works (which seems to be fairly unusual in itself).

Despite all the issues, she's too good to scrap, and I'd rather pass her on to someone that can either restore it, or at least use it for spares to keep another one on the road.

She's a 2006. I'm in Bristol.

Over to you.
