Hello , Its me Jordan ,

Im owner of a Croma 2007 year 1.9 diesel 150 hp automatic gear box.

I few days ago i was driving in the traffic when i get a warning light about my engine temp. It was all the way in the red,but the car was running properly.

I did move away from the road in after 10 meters and cut the engine off.
While i was on my way to stop my window was open , and there was no fan noise coming from the front. Anyway i was like 20 more meters away from my home, so came back to the car in the next day and move it in my home parking lot.

The stat of the car is recently changed with a new part and in my opinion it works rly good. There is also brand new cooling liquid + new water pump ( the water pump is giving me a really nice flow i can even see that in the coolant reservoir.

I start to dig for the problem and on the first glance i told there is a Cooling fan issue. I did test the fans , while providing them with 12v and they both starts.

So o told my self i have to test are the fans are working at all. I unplug the coolant sensor connector , then i start the car and only the climate fan starts working.
Since i know that both of them are working, i decided to make a relay check.
They where all working correctly, and so the fuses are in perfect shape too.

What should be my next step?
There is a control module located in the top of the fan housing, how can i test is it working properly?
Do i miss something while testing this?

Many thanks , from Bulgaria !

Hi,
Are there any signs of overheating other than the gauge?

The fans and gauge are controlled by software. To do any diagnostics you relly need a computer, interface and software.
Multiecuscan www.multiecuscan.net (MES) a "modified for Multiecuscan" ELM 327 USB interface and a laptop are my recommendation. Excluding the laptop thi should be less than €100.
You can check the sensor readings, turn the fans on and off, drive the gauge and light.

I suspect you have a fauty sensor.
You can download the workshop manual "elearn" from the download section of the forum.

Hello, we allready did that, and also they were spining.

I rly want to know should they spin with the real speed, when they tested ?

Cuz when we did this, and start em on a first speed, they where bearly spining.

This was kinda the same situation , when we tested em for the second speed.

If you can provide me with information how fast they have to spin while testing that whould be great.

Let the god bless you for the provided help and proper answer.

Car acctually running good, and there are no other signs of overheating.

I did change the coolant sensor , the one playced in the stat.

I was diging soo deep cuz this engine have been allready rebuild once.

A few more questions.

When i connect the car with the diagnostic tool , it says that car is runing at around 93 -94 degree, is this normal(thats was tested with the old sensor , but the new one showing the same temps)? This was at outside tempreture of 30 degree, but i thing this no matter cuz even in the winter engine run in the same temp, or at least the gauge is showing me the same thing no matter of the season.

And speaking of gauge, i was also wonderin why mine is not fixed at the 90 degree mark but looks like this is the answer. The gauge arrow is constantli fixed in this 94 mark if there was any :)
