Hi Guys

New to the forum and hoping for some expert help :)

I've just bought a 2007 1.9 jtd 8v Croma 93K . Have done a few things to it since I got it - new clutch kit , water pump and timing belt , new alternator and has been running like a dream

but a few days ago engine management light came on car stopped dead - turned off for a second back on find light still on . Got home did the fault reader P0269 cylinder injector high circuit .

cleared code and was find then stopped about 3 or 4 times with different high circuit faults to injectors

the other day stopped 5 times in a 3 miles journey codes galore plus a message turn off engine excessive radiator temp !! but temp gauge was only half way across (codes P0201 -P0202-P0203-P0204-P0271-P0268 )

HELP Please regards

Thanks for the replay ! Would a broken battery cause these symptoms? Cheers

Hi,
Sorry I missed your earlier post.

This fault is most likely a faulty connector on the injectors. Sometimes you can extract the contacts and re-tension the contacts.

Check the injector coil resistance at the ECU conector e.g pin 1 to pin 46 should be less than 20 ohms. Check all 4 of course and try wiggling the injector plugs.

Hi Robert

Thanks for this , I wondered about the 3rd injector connector fault on the vauxhall . So I've bought the fix kit for that . But I suppose it could be any of them .

Also another 2 issues , glow plug check warning is now on then goes off and comes back . Also high engine temp warning stop and check then goes off and comes back but temp gage is only half way ...

I'm using my trusty old obd reader , I think it's got a date on the battery will check.

Hi g8rpi , how ? It's very technical and quite complicated- all I've been able to ascertain is that the injectors are all working within tolerance on live data . Any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
You need to look at what codes were stored and their related parameters. Reset them and see if they come back. If they do, reset them and set up MES to record th relevant parameters, go for a drive and see what parametes change and how when the fault code(s) appear.
You are theen down to analysis and fault diagnosis. My yes was a little filppant, I was just going out so had no time. MES will not of cours come up with a message saying "be blue wir is broken behind the glove box" but it is a big help and it's almost impossible to diagnose modern car problems without MES or something similar.
