Hello to all. I own a 2008 Croma and wanted to ask you if any of you have this little problem and if it has solved it.
The engagement of gears is not accurate and the shift lever is a little slow and the driving sensation is not very enjoyable. Apart from that, gears do not give any other problems. Can you solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to Fiat Forum.
Poor gear shift "feel" is normally due to friction in the cables between the gearlever and gearbox. They are "bowden" cables like oversized bicycle brake cables. The correct solution is to replace them but it is possible to lubicate them. There are two cables and they have rubber boots at the gearbox end. Pulling these back and applying lubricant while moving the gear lever to work it down the inside of the cable. A dry PTFE lubricant is best but I used a PTFE loaded grease (Loctite SuperLube) with good results. lubicate the ball joints on the end too. Taking the battery and battery box out makes access much easier.
