according to the handbook I guess this is not possible. Anybody know if there is anyway of turning down the pre-set volume of the traffic announcements. It comes on at 20 and startles me and I immediately grab the volume knob and turn it down. thx David

Hi David,
You are correct, if the volume is set to less than 20 traffic announcements will come on at 20. This is fixed, Above 20 the traffic will increase the volume 1 step.

Are everyone else's traffic announcements very very loud so that they almost deafen them ? its odd as my last Croma's Traffic news, which had the same radio was not so loud, so it must be adjustable somehow. I have had the T/A function turned off for the last 6 months, but my wife drove the car the other week and she almost had a heart attack when the traffic info came on so loud ! Thx David
I don't notice it because my local station does not use the TA function of RDS. If you habitually run the radio at low volume (the Croma is a quiet car) then coming on at 20 will sound loud.

Thx for your reply. Its crazy loud, so I think there's either a hidden function to turn it down or its a fault on the radio. I am 100% sure my traffic news announcements were no where near as loud on my last Croma.
When I looked into it there was no adjustment other than on or off. You could try changing the setting for the speed related volume control and see if that helps.
