Hi all, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this issue.
A couple of days ago I was in the car trying to close the faulty sunroof with the manual winder when the interior lights stopped working. On starting the car the next morning I find the alarm not working, the climate control is not working/lighting up, and the odometer is flashing. I have looked at the fuses but they all look ok. Anybody have any suggestions or ideas?

It's a 2005 eleganza. The sun roof has never worked properly so is usually left well alone. It got opened accidentally on Saturday then wouldn't close. I put the interior lights on, got the winding handle out of the rear interior light housing and started to wind the roof shut, that's when the interior lighting went out, I'm guessing the alarm and climate control were lost at the same time.

Well as you say it's probably the best place to start. I spoke to my local dealer and they weren't particularly helpful, can't even offer me an appointment for over 2 weeks. How would I go about taking you up on your generous MES offer?

where's home.., Swindon or Bristol..??

there a couple of us within an hour of Swindon..not so sure of Bristol..??

a basic plug-in diagnosis should only take 20 mins / half hour

weekends would probably be best.. BUT is something that can be done from the front seat(s) so isn't really weather-dependant..,

Live in Bristol, Work in Swindon, unfortunately I'm in my van for work and the wife uses the Croma for work in Bristol. Yes, it was dark. I will have a look in the light fitting.

Just a follow up because I hate it when threads don't resolve somehow.
Disconnected sun roof and curtain. Local garage did a proxi-alignment, all fine now. Thanks to those that replied.
