Hi everyone! I'm new here. I just bought my very first Fiat and it is Croma 2008 year with 2.4 multijet. Before buying i scanned it with bosch esitronic -no errors.
Everything there works fine except when I start the car it shows me a message "alarm unavailable". As I understand there should be alarm but it doesnt work. Also volume and anti-tilt buttons when I press them, they just blink several times and nothing happens.
Where i should look for the problem to make my car alarm active?
Also i noticed that my car has parking sensors but there is no sound at all when I put shift into rear gear. If it would be parking sensor problem it would still work few of them or it would make sound when put shift into rear gear. But now there is no sound at all. Where to look for a problem?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum and world of Croma.
I don't know how in depth the Bosch diagnostics are. It sounds like you need to look at the alarm and reversing modules. I use Multiecuscan (www.multiecuscan.net) which is Fiat / Alfa specific. The first step would be a "proxi alignment" which gets all the modules talking to each other.

Hi our Croma became a problem when its alarm sounded at all hours with no cause so I confess that I dealt with it by unplugging the horn under the front starboard wheel arch. Now when I start the engine it tells me that the alarm is unavailable but it does not trouble the people next door!.It could well be that someone has done the same to your car it would be easy to reconnect but if it has a fault it could be difficult to fix.
