Hi I'm new to the site but really need some help, I have a croma 1.9 and the seat belt behind drivers seat it broken, it sticks and that's if you manage to pull the seatbelt out. I just wondered if anyone know of any other models, even outwith fiat, that uses the same seatbelts as its really hard to get parts for a croma in my area. Any help is much appreciated.

First of all check that the clip in cable guide and clips into the 'B' post interior trim has not become dislodged and dropped down into the reel assembly.

If the belt itself is in good order then I would be looking at removing the belt reel and have a look at what could be causing the problem. The reel mechanisms are a fairly simple, robust and reliable design and it may be just gummed up and in need of a little TLC.

I've not personally inspected the Croma one so you may find in completely press sealed but it is worth a inspect.

When you say behind the drivers seat do you mean the rear passenger belt reel or the driver's belt reel which is located behind the seat? Either way I checked both part numbers and they are not shared with a other Fiats. Also there are two different rear reel assemblies depending on if you have rear side impact protection air bags.

Driver's Belt P/N:=735440630 (UK off side)
Rear Passengers Belt P/N:=73540524 (UK off side) - No rear side impact air bags
Rear Passengers Belt P/N:=73540524 (UK off side) - WITH rear side impact air bags

Never rely on part numbers quoted. Always get your dealer to give/get you the correct part then if there is any error you won't lose any money!

Finally. You may find that the General Motors Vectra or Signum use the same parts but with a GM part number. Also when you look at the reel you will probably find the OEM manufacturer and their part number and armed with this you can go back to the OEM mfg should be able to tell you what other cars use the same belt.
