Ordered a reconditioned righthand rear brake calliper for a Croma 16V, 150BHP, built 2008, motorcode 939A2000 under part number P/n 77363637 or BHS933.
Got a righthand rear brake calliper intended for a car with 20mm thick disks, but need a calliper for 12mm massive disks, just like the one in the pictures.
The distance between the cylinder and the facing pad support has to be 57 mm, on the ordered one it was 65mm.
The calliper in Eper looks totally different from the one I need.
My sincere thanks to him or her who could supply the right part number.
Kind regards
Vento

My Croma is being a pain and has now failed the MOT on rear brakes binding. Does this mean replacement rear calipers or is it possible to free the sticking pistons. I have had a quote for refurbed or remanufactured ones at approx. £100 each plus the pads and labour but can not get the car in until the 19th which is very late for me.

Hi yes it should be poissible to free the piston see my recent thread brake bind. You will need a tool to push the piston back in and some packing or old wornout brake pads.Replace the pads for the packers then push the brake peddle until the piston is in contact, then push the piston back in with the tool repeat this until you can push the piston in easily some red hydraulic grease applied with a coton bud under the dust seal would help.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay in responding. Not long been back off holiday. In the end another garage said only one caliper was sticking. They tried to order a replacement but couldn't find one from the suppliers they use so managed to source a used one. Brakes seem fine now. Car ran great on holiday but still has a an ignition fault and I now feel a slight wobble which I suspect is a return of a driveshaft problem

Hi Jaffacake,

I have a problem with the LHR brake caliper, Croma 1910 cc 150 bhp 2006.
Can give me some info on the garage who managed to find a replacement, I am based in the West Midlands. I have tried all sorts of means to find a replacement but no joy so far. The only ref number on the TRW caliper C979 on the left of the body & 41/20 on the right.
