hi guys, my first post and first problems. Ive got a 2.2 croma and it has loss of power and keeps cutting out when coming to a stop. Sometimes it doesn't start either then after a few mins its fires first time. Ive had it on diagnostics and only code is for lambda sensor. Ive had both sensors (pre and post cat) changed with genuine NTK ones and still the same. Also have done coilpacks and plugs. Car has done 60K but when I asked about fuel filter my parts guys said its a lifetime filter and its inside the fuel tank? maybe this is causing my problems? Is it inside the tank? Common to fail? Any help much appreciated. :bang:

Had a quick look on E-Learn , the fuel filter is part of the fuel tank pump/ sender unit.

One of the fault diagnosis for starting and cutting out is the inertia switch which is on the floor by the passenger seat . Could be a dicky contact on this or something has come loose. It is a fail safe devise for cutting off the fuel in case of an accident.

got a crank sensor today. But cant figure out where it is located? Ive check back of block, got car up on ramp. Also the front near the oil filter housing. Anyone know? (y)
