I can get aftermarket listings but don't have a fiat EPC up and running (I'm a VW/Audi specialist so geared up for that) does anyone have EPC that can confirm the part number for my 2006 2.4? It's a front that I need.

Cheers! Greg.

My Kilen catalogue shows 12167 - but doesn't show the FIAT P/No. (51755500?)
Not sure if these are the dreaded pig-tail type or not.
They'll be a Vauxhall equivalent.

Far as I can tell for the Croma 2.4 JTD 20V the spring part number is 51804873.

A single spring from Fiat costs around £115.

Better and cheaper to buy after market (KILEN or similar). Kilen springs are made from constant diameter wire unlike the Fiat ones and are far far less likely to break.

NOTE! part number 51755500 is not relevant.

Thanks, that is the number I have. LESJÖFORS coil spring Front Axle FIAT 4026184 appears to be a cross reference, they are a good make and about £35. Hopefully that Fiat number is right!

Thanks. Hmm that's funny, the big factors here list it as 51755500, but then online in various listings 51755500 & 51804873 are listed as the same part. Is it a super-session to a later part number? The 873 does pull up listings specifically for the Croma 2.4 so looks good number...

Yes the number I quoted does superceed the 51755500 number HOWEVER when I look the 51755500 number up on the Fiat parts system it lists no supercedes, only that the number is no longer in production. Usually when this occurs it means that there is no replacement part available.

At least your resources tie the part numbers together so I guess the 51804873 number is good.

On the Fiat system against the *4873 part I find the following modification information data:

D12084 - ADOPTION OF NEW SHOCK ABSORBERS AND FRONT SUSPENSION SPRINGS (TEL 2073057)

Digging a little deeper Fiat changed the shock absorbers and springs together under the D12084 number and this seams to have been triggered by the following modification code to the shock absorbers:

D12084 - ADOPTION OF NEW SHOCK ABSORBERS AND FRONT SUSPENSION SPRINGS (TEL 2073057)
D12463 - ELIMINATION OF LEAD (DAT 15/06/2008)

My conclusion is that 51804873 should be the correct number.

However!! As I always quote/say it id up up to Fiat or your parts supplier to supply the correct part once you have given them make/model/year/chassis number/registration.....etc. and quoting a part number can be dangerous because if that part number is wrong then you are liable for and costs involved.
