Is it possible for a 55 plate Croma Prestigio to have auto lights, wipers n rear view mirror and not folding mirrors? I thought all four were part of the comfort pack?

I'd assume the could also be speced individually (like most other cars) although normally a more expensive way of doing it.

Not listed separately in the options list - only as part of the comfort pack (as fitted to my 2.4) or the "Dole Vita pack" which included the electric heated seats which no bu**ger seems to have :D

Full comfort pack listed as you noted:

  • Dusk Sensor
  • Rain Sensor
  • electrochromic rear view mirror
  • Folding Door Mirrors

Thanks for confirming Evo, so now I'm confused as the horizontal button, when I pressed it didn't depress, it was solid?! Do they fold some other way? I'm wondering if the garage has glued the button, to make someone think the option to fold isn't available covering up the fact that one of the folding mirrors is broken?

From the list of optional items in my 2004 fiat training manual the folding mirror is an optional extra. The switch plate cover on the door is so they dont have to have two different types of switch assemblies depending on the version.

It sounds like photos of the buttons might be a good idea for a compare/contrast. I've got a Prestigio that definitely doesn't have folding mirrors.

You show me yours, I'll show you mine...

It's possibly just that the original mirrors were knocked off when it rolled over in a horrendous death-crash, so were replaced with standard ones. Nothing to worry about. Or they weren't fitted in the first place.

My mirrors aren't folding, and you can fold them by hand. If they're motorised then they would be very stiff to move manually. I had a car with them once, got fed up of telling people getting into the passenger side not to helpfully grab it and try and bend it out. I also saw some kid in the street doing this once when I left it parked. They also get driving rain, grit and all sorts of rubbish in the pivot. Mine ended up making all kinds of horrible groaning/grinding noises, when the car was almost new. It's very possible that they were fitted but stopped working.

Hmmmmmm odd,

So I have

Dusk Sensor
Rain Sensor
electrochromic rear view mirror

But no folding mirrors?

The button has no symbol on it. Does anyone have a 2005 brochure, I've only got one with Ed. 04/06 on it. Maybe the comfort pack didn't exist in 2005?

The electric folding ones on the Bravo are no different to push in by hand than the manual folding ones, and I believe they're practically the same mirror unit fitted to the Croma.

Looked at mine today, didn't have the camera but it has what looks exactly like that button, but without the icon printed on. And you can't press it - it's rigid.
