General Projector headlights!

Yesterday I saw only my second Croma, since I became an owner myself. The reason for my thread is that it had projector headlights (not facelift ones) and the exhaust protruded from the bumper instead of being hidden. It was a right hand drive, 06 plate, 150 Prestigio, so unlikely to have been an import. Were these headlights an option?

Xenon headlights were an option on the top two models. But it's more likely that you saw a pimped up one with illegal HIDs from ebay. Probably someone from this forum. It will fail its next MOT due to the new rules on HIDs...

Can you tell I don't like HIDs? The factory-fit ones are bad enough, but the DIY ones often look like permanent full-beam.

No I mean actual projector headlights, with a ball for dip instead of a reflector. They looked similar to the facelift ones, just a lot bigger. They weren't switched on so I don't know if they were fitted with xenon's or not.

My apologies, I have opened the document now!

When someone else was having a rant on here about HID's, they said that projector lights weren't available in the UK, that's why I was surprised to see a Croma with them fitted. It was in Dorchester if anyone knows who's that is?

They were obviously intended as an option in the UK because the owners handbook also makes reference to them, so the one you saw could actually have factory fitted HID's
