Anyone know? I checked the 2 fuses in lower dash, that according to the handbook are connected with the power supply to the boot, they are are OK, both bulbs also ok. So it has to be either the switch or a break in the wire. I can't find the switch, is it inside the actual latch mechanism on the tailgate ? Thx David

N.B. Anyone not got a rear central armrest in their Eleganza or Dynamic model ?

Hi,

I own the car now and it isn't fixed. I suspect the light switch is in the boot release switch.

Yesterday I tried to fix the problem. There is a switch in the boot lock, but it can`t be accessed because the lock is stapled. I used a dry contact spray cleaner used in electronics and after few seconds the lights went on for 2 minutes, then they went off again. Used more spray but with no success. That switch seems to be clogged or damaged from water and the only way to solve the problem is to change the lock (in my case), maybe your will work after using some spray cleaner. You can do that without dismantling the plastic cover. I will make a picture to show where you have to use the cleaner today or earlier tomorrow.

Hello,
Two months ago. i bough Fait croma like your and i have the same problem.
I do not understand what you clean and after chenged, where is a switch in the boot lock.
Please make a foto.
Soory for my english.
Thanks.

Hi. I don't have any pictures from when I changed the boot lock, but here is a picture where I marked what you have o remove. Now take notice that, after you remove the 4 small plastics, the big one has plastic clips all around it so you should remove with care or you will need some new ones after.

Prior to removing and changing the boot lock, you should try to spray some WD40 inside the lock without removing nothing. For me it worked for 30 minutes, maybe for you it will work longer :). Good luck and be safe !
