Anyone got access to a replacement heater control panel for my 05 Diesel Multijet (1.9)

The fiat genuine part price is outrageous - esp since I think the dealer broke it when they fixed another problem!

Hope some one knows a friendly breaker.

There are some on scrapyards about, if you can find them.

I wouldn't bother with buying parts from Fiat.

What's wrong with it?

Get back onto the dealer.

If they won't play ball tell them you are opening a dispute case with Fiat Customer Care.

One question I would have is did you notice the fault immediately after getting the car back from the related repair and did you advise dealer within 24/48 hours?

Sometimes these cases can be difficult for either party to prove one way or another. If it went to a small claims court then I guess the magistrate would be looking at "a balance of probaility" and to this end could make a judgement in your favour with something like a 75% / 25% cost split to repair the fault. To save all the this hassle if the dealer won't admit liability then you could try for a 'good will' 50%/50% settlement. This would at least halve the damage. One can but only try.
