My original locking bolts had jammed on, and I managed to get them off and replace them with some others. Now these had stuck on too - I snapped my socket set extension trying to get one off.
I asked the garage to get them off, and decided to just get standard bolts all round instead. While I was at it, I thought they were all a bit rusty looking, so I'd replace all 20 with nice shiny new ones.
The garage said their generic ones weren't quite long enough, so ordered some from the local Fiat dealer.
How much for 20 bolts? £92 + VAT or £5.52 EACH including VAT.
I despair - in the end I got four Fiat ones to replace the locking ones only, and will leave the other rusty ones as they are. So the Fiat mafia got less money off me than they would have got if their prices were on this planet.
I'd bet they're Vauxhall bolts anyway, and are probably half the price from them.
