I have a nipple on the dash, i thought its for auto headlights? but i cant find it in the menu.
I also cant find front cup holders

should i have an engine cover under tray? there isnt one there :(

also where do i find the plug to unplug parking sensors?

am loving finding stuff i didn't realise i had though, found puddle lights tonight :D

Re: I can't finf stuff in my car

nipple? .... for air-con? (solar sensor)

dave, unplug then plug back in the connectors on the 4 sensors as poor connection/grit/water is the main problem with these.

cup holder....you have a cooled compartment!

under tray is in the bin

Re: I can't finf stuff in my car

aww i thought i read some where nipple was for lights, why does aircon need to know how light or dark it is

i dont know how to get to any parking sensor plugs, do i remove long plastic bit on boot step or under the car?

i cant put cup of coffee in the arm rest  book says i have that but also says there cup/glass holders in the front some where

No cupholders, it's not an american car afterall. No sane italian would take their coffee into the car, therefore fiat engineers didn't put any. Closest thing to a cup holder is the area below removable ashtray between the ignition and arm rest but I find it not wide enough for my thermo cup.(n)

Usually climate control systems knock a degree or two off the temperature you've set if it's sunny, to allow for the extra heat you'll feel as a result of the sun baking you directly.

I've noticed mine cranking the fan up shortly after the sun catches the sensor.

The lack of cupholders was a surprise to me too - I assumed all modern cars had them. I used to find it useful to keep a 500ml bottle of pop to hand.

The "cooled" box is pretty rubbish. It's just connected to the ventilation - in winter it heats your drink.

it surprised me because page 68 of manual says they are located on the front console:(

So it does. I'll be impressed when you find the right button to press that makes it pop out from somewhere.

Either that or the manual's been copied and pasted from another car. Or the accountants decided they were too expensive. Or they forgot to design them in.

Hi, Dave

My Croma has 2 cup holders in the centre console between the key slot and the armrest/bin, next to the handbrake. Ithink some cars may have had an ashtray fitted there instead as an option on original purchase.

HTH

Re: I can't finf stuff in my car

You must have square cups if those bits are any use.

The ashtray just lifts out if fitted.

Unless you get a more useful shape if the ashtray was never selected as an option? I'd be interested to see a picture if you have something vaguely cup-shaped there.

ive taken my ash tray out, the edges have a slight rounded dent, but i wouldnt call that a cup holder, also its not where the book says

I'm wondering if Chris has solved the mystery - he does say there are two, whereas pulling the ashtray out just leaves a single rectangular space. Photos please!

I don't know why they didn't do what most other car co's have been doing for years - build in cup holders and give you a cup-shaped ashtray if you want one.

Sorry Dave, but that's it: the rounded edges in the rectangular bit is your one and only cup holder.

I wonder if it's because the Italians believe that coffee should be drank from decent pottery outside a cafe in Milan - not from a paper cup in McDonald's car park.

How many Ferraris, Maseratis or Lambos have a cup holder?

I'm still waiting for CromaChris to say whether his has proper cup-holders or just a rectangular hole where the ashtray should be...

Aha - cleaned the car today and took the ashtray out to find the "cup holder". I'd never noticed the "ear" shapes on the sides of the hole before. I'd say that does actually pass as a cupholder.

There's also something attempting to resemble another further back, but that one's a bit vague, plus it's under the edge of the armrest.

So - the Croma does have a cupholder after all, all is forgiven. It looks prettier with the ashtray that I never use though.

Hi, fellas
Sorry for the delay. I can confirm that Doofer's observation about the ear-shapes is correct. These manage to hold a can or take- out coffee cup quite nicely. They don't look like much but, unless the can is quite tall and empty, they are quite secure. The only problem is that you can catch a tall can and spill it when applying the handbrake.

Will it take a can of Tennents Super though?

The only thing I use the ash tray for is I put the fag lighter in the gap in front of it when the sat-nag's plugged in. It holds it without it rattling there.
