Technical EOBD Warning Light

It's definitely there. Mine's been used so often that the little coin tray automatically jumps off as soon as any diagnostic equipment comes within 6 feet of the car.

Mind an RAC chappie tried to give me an argument that it must be somewhere else, so it must be well hidden.

Defo there - easier to see from just outside the drivers door looking up from slightly below the coin tray. You're looking for something that looks like a TV scart socket behind some cables.

Thanks, everybody, my rheumy old eyes obviously aren't wot they used to be! There it was right enough, lurking behind the thick cables to the other connectors around the fuseboard - immediately to the right of the middle of the fuseboard in fact. The engine management light problem now diagnosed and fixed - it was a split vacuum hose going to the turbo.
(obd2 tool read "P0238 Turbocharger boost sensor A circuit high" which set me off in the right direction. Thanks again

been meaning to add these to the thread for ages for other, better late than never.
