I have an oil leak that looks like it is coming from the bottom left of the rocker cover, I have been told that this was only recently changed before I bought it.
Can anyone suggest anything to check?
Should I just replace and do I need to use gasket seal too or could it be a damaged rocker cover?

These are prone to leaking if not fitted properly. Over fighting is the main culprit. Personally I would purchase a new gasket and make sure everything is very clean and not much more than finger tight. There is a sequence as well. Starting in the middle, ending with the top right bolt. 9nm if I remember.

Hi Jim, been better but under the circumstances I really can’t complain. Been in and out of hospital lately due to coughing up blood, they can’t find anything. So kind of left in limbo. How’s things with yourself?

you need to stay indoors then matey, away from the lurgee, and take it easy...

Likely as others have said a cracked cover with over zealous tightening in wrong sequence. Gaskets vary with cork or rubber. I have cork.
If the cover is cracked you will need someone who can weld aluminium well.
