Hi if your talking about the 20VT engine then you can easily do the timing belt and water pump without taking out the engine . You need to take out all the bolts that secure the three engine mounts and then push the engine and box to the UK passenger side .This will allow you enough room . I have done many of these the last on my own 20VT a couple of weeks ago and its easy compared to some modern cars
