it could just be a faulty odometer?

That was my first thought but is it broken or was it broken?

Either way there's no way of verifying the mileage so I'll need to rip the engine apart to make sure the crank bearings and everything else is happy adding more to the project and now it isn't a "genuine low mileage car" it's worth a fraction of what it would be fully restored anyway.

What you could is fully restore it, then when you do come to sell, advertise it as ----- miles since full restoration. ;)

...or fit a Stack dash.

I haven't been able to afford to collect the red one yet. So bidding on the green one is out. Even though it's closer, nicer colour, etc, etc.

In case you wanted to join the party and restore a classic Coupe. ;)

Sadly for every decent well looked after Coupe' out there so many depreciated over the tracks you'll find ones that weren't quite thrashed to death or used as Punto transplant donors have had a polishing mop run over them, clocks either replaced or tampered with and barely scraped through the MOT for good car prices.

At least if you buy a shed you know roughly what you're getting into. ;)

Believe me, if I won the lottery, I'd have a multistorey car park full of Fiats, in order to save them from such fates.

The £175 N/A 16V I have to collect from Leeds. I may be swapping the A3 for the use of a recovery rig and fuel for a couple of days. ;)

I've been following...

...the fwd series wondering "how hard can it be?"

The 2.4 JTD can make 300bhp with simple modifications plus another hundred Redneck Nitrous (Propane injection). Stripped out Coupe shell with 400bhp should be make some good times.
