Welcome to a world of being faster than 95% of the other cars out there, and a world of high running costs! :D
Your Coupe is due a cambelt change, simply due to age, as your car is 6 or 7 years old now. You could try PowerFiat if you're in the South or MotorMech if you're in the North or Midlands. Either of these well-respected specialists will check for other things on the car if you ask them. You might find that the front wishbones are worn, and that the oil-cooler pipes are badly corroded.
The cambelt change will costs £400-500 (you really should get all the associated belts and tensioners changed). If the oil cooler pipes need changing, it's about £90 for the parts, plus labour. Front wishbones are about £40 per side I think.

covered the belt change with the right companies to use.other thing to check is the clutch slave cylinder.this will need doing sometime in the cars life.so check now for leaks.a new one costs about £21,and is straight forward to fit.you will know when its playing up when the clutch pedal sticks to the floor and needs a pull with your foot.has it got air con? if so , check all connections.finally.try to use the best oil possible.they respond well to it.

Tanx for the advice, i managed to get the dealer i bought it from to change it as part of the deal, and got them to refurb the allpys as well
