Hi again, the auxiliary belt has started to screech from cold after having all belts changed. While this is quite normal, how can I increase the tension? I have located a long threaded bar with an allen key type adjuster, is this the one? It's in front of the timing belt cover next to the alternator. Thanks

Hey ! Thanks for your posts. Problem sorted, I nipped the belt up by 2 complete turns of the adjuster and it's great now. Added bonus...The PAS seems to be a lot smoother. Just the clutch, thermostat and ABS sensor to go and the car is sorted (until the next time)...

Clutch will probably need a new unit depending on mileage.....these beasts are pretty torquey animals and ARE pretty powerful.
ABS sensor is easy to do.....you need startrek to see which one it is and then change it......we can give you advice here when you know which one as the back ones are pigs to get at.
Theromostst is easy too....just get ready to lose lots of coolant but not too bad except for those poxy fiat clips ( get some nice jubilees to replace)

It's going into Poweritalia at the end of the month for the jobs to be done. I don't get much time to do major repairs to the car, it's easier getting it to the garage..
