Dear All,

I need some help. Technical manuals, something detailed about my car, like engine and gearbox parts. I want to undergo some intervention on the engine.

Mainly my question is, does my Coupe, have a LSD (limited Slip Differential)? Like the 2.0 20v Turbo?

If not, anyone knows is the gearboxes are the same, I mean, can we open one and put inside the LSD, or eventually just change the full gearbox of a 20V with LSD to the 16v.

Thanks a lot.

Yea thats right, 16vt and the 20vt have limited slip diff.

My question is is the viscodrive a good LSD?

And does it ever need replacing after a certain number of miles/time or does it last for however long the cars life is?

Something iv always wondered, tbh i dont notice it in my 20vt or my old 16vt?

They're a totally sealed unit, and it's very very rare for them to fail. They don't seem to wear even after astronomical mileage either. They're not a Limited slip Diff strictly speaking, but a viscous coupling. It's quite basic but does the job brilliantly.
