Evening all, I have been offered a hks re-cerk dump valve but it has come off a scooby sti type r running over 300 bhp. I was warned to get advise before buying just to make sure its ok for my coupe.

Has anyone had one on there coupe?

Can anyone advise?

Personly I cant see there being a issue but ithought id check to be on the safe side.

Im seeing the guy tonight when england play so it wwould be good to get some feedback asap.

i dunno but i wanted to hear what your car sounded like as mine sounds like a supercharger although it sounds nice it hurts my ears after a bit

Just picked up the dump valve along with a boost gauge.

Will post picsup tomorrow hopefuly, cant belive the size of the thing. Had a baily atmos dv 26 on my old 16vt and the new dv is 5 times the size of the baily. I cant belive the size of the thing.

If its a re-circ and its installed properly it will be fine. The problems happen when you dump to atmosphere due to the the engine measures the air going into the air inlet (dumping it to atmosphere upsets the engines calculations).

Any idea what the screw/bolt at the top of the dump valve is for?

I think not but would like a second opinion.

I've had five dump valves on my coops (I love buying them ) and my Current Forge DV006 is my fave so far. It's my first recirc, and it's just a bit quieter than an atmospheric type but you still get the "Tisch" just a bit more subtle.

Well then sir you have impeccable taste like me I don't like the HKS, it's a bit too squeaky sounding and Jap for an Italian car. Loads of people run them on the coop forum though, each to their own as the saying goes!
