For the past 3 weeks, my coupe has been blowing blue smoke from the exhaust when starting up from cold and continues until the engine has walmed up. After being told the turbo is shagged, i managed to source a replacement with only 40k miles on it.

Well, after having the replacement for a little under a week, it was time it needed fitting. While being fitted, i've noticed a crack in the manifold (which i've suspected since i got it) which is going to pt a dent in my wallet but for now i'll have to make do. After 6 hours, the turbo swap was complete and took it for a test run. Alas! No smoke! The Coop's sorted!

A big thankyou to pete aka Fixitagaintomorrow for fitting it for me Mucho appreciated!! I shall come bearing gifts when i pop down next time .

Ah is that brickfoot the mobile coupe fixer? I feel a new show coming on:


"brickfoot'll fix it"

You have to smoke cigars and say "now then, now then, boys and girls"
and then you read out a letter from a distraught coop owner. mine would be:

"Dear mr brickfoot,
Please come to my house and fix it for me.
My blue coop is not behaving as well as it should
and I have lost a few races at the lights.
Please travel to N.Wales and fix my poor brum brum"

I Have one for sale (the old unit), it needs reconditioning i.e. new oil seals etc. £100 and it's yours. It's ideal for a hybrid upgrade which are available on the group buy on www.fccuk.org/ubbthreads and comes with new seals.
