My hazard lights are not working and the MOT is 2 weeks away.

I have checked the fuse and it's fine

Any pointers/suggestions as to why they might not be working and where to start first?

All the other lights are working fine.

broken button? or snipped wire? maybe button just disconnected on the back

i dont have a circuit diagram for a coupe but if its anything like the mk1 punto....

When the hazards are on, the supply comes directly from a constant positive feed. When the hazards are off, the supply comes from a switched ignition feed. My suggestion would be that there is a problem along that constant feed (light blue and white wire to the hazard switch in a mk1 punto - may be different colour in a coupe.) so if the fuse for it is fine (one of the 10A fuses in a punto), then i would remove the switch and make sure one of the wires is supplying +12v when the keys are out.
