Had 4 of these in total, loved every one of them.
started with a Red one, standard, except fitted a sebring exhaust.
Next was a silver one totally standard.
then a White one was a bit of a bodged one.
and finally a Black anti skid one, fitted 15 inch wheels, black diamond drilled and grooved discs all round, 57i intake, adjustable waste-gate, 25mm lower kit with uprated shocks, sports exhaust and a few other bits, well it was a long time ago :D

Now, I'm going to disagree with you all, Yes this is a cool car. But I just don't think it is sub zero. I mean it still looks too much alike the stock uno. I know going mad and silly spoilers is arbarths thing, but imagine if this car had bodywork done like the Rensul 5 turbo 2, now that was a sub zero car, I have no expirence in driving either but for me the stock looks nock the cool down for me.

Now sleepers, I am a fan off. Like Whitz cinq, looks slow but it will be proper quick. Cool because he has made it. if it came from a factory like that I just don't feel like it would be as cool.

have you been eating crazy pills sir?
how can you say it looks too much like a base spec one, its got different grill, different front and rear bumpers, different rear hatch with a spoiler, different wheels, skirts, arch extensions.... and thats not even starting on engine and running gear differences. plus a poverty spec mk1 uno would be too cold to touch in itself.. Shall i go on?

You have basically said the same as the new abarth 500 and punto's are rubbish because they look too much like a base spec one - which they clearly don't and what sets them apart from the base spec ones is all the same stuff the uno turbo has over the base spec - if you were to write a list of whats changed on both the uno and the new abarths the lists would be almost identical.

Added to this there is plenty of modded uno's out there, and the hormann kitted cars spring to mind here - they were cool in the 90's but i would argue that a nice stock looking uno turbo with perhaps just some wheels and slightly lower suspension is a much much cooler prospect than a bodykitted highly modded one.

In conclusion. Yes, you can think its not cool - that is your right as a human being. I feel i must tell you that you are ever so mistaken in your view, but you are entitled it :p.

I say sub-zero for the mk1 UT but then I am biased I suppose...every person I've spoke to at shows about mine has had nothing to say but positive things, "most fun I ever had in a car", "best car I ever owned", "wish I still had one", etc :)

I agree: modified cars are never cool. Chav wagons are are a perfect example of how to ruin a perfectly good car, and it does sadden me to see some of the tragic attempts at 'improving' Fiats on this forum.

In your opinion, which you are of course entitled to have.

There are some nice modded cars out there, but it's a personal thing. I appreciate subtle mods exterior wise and more of the bigger mods under the skin personally, but at the end of the day, nobody really cares if you or i "like" their car, it's their car, their story and theirs to do with whatever they wish.

I personally find unmodded cars generally boring, but respect that some people just aren't into changing stuff.

And on that note, i shall (when it's ready) continue to enjoy my uncool modified chav wagon without a care in the world about anyone elses opinion because at the end of the day, the only persons opinion that matters on each car is its owners :D

And I shall continue to enjoy owning my lovely, factory spec, rare, very cool Grande Punto Eleganza, lmao! :p

Another great Fiat I bought a new one in the 80's in metallic grey with the digital dash which I loved. Not many around now cant remember the last time I saw one and you would pay more for a good one now than I paid for a new one.
