i had this happen to me too, luckily it was my bands website address so i just ditched it.

having said that how do i know your Col..... if its not you Col you better not nick his sei or there will be hell to pay for!!!

You'd better watch out as you have registered the msn address to your home address, if you entered the details if someone uses it illegally then you can be held accountable.. trust me i know! All i can say is get on to msn as quickly as possible so you can at least try to prove you werent responsable, and get the account closed down, they arent very helpfull, but provide the police with your name and address if your email is used.

I've been on to hotmail. They replied with a whole host of questions, which I answered, haven't heard anything back yet. I didn't fill out my address so that's cool, and when you need to give your postcode I don't give the full one

At the moment I'm just checking everyday that it's locked out lol, as in you try too many times and no one can get in. Bloody hotmail ppl taking ages. Luckily I don't use the hotmail address for anything important. Changed all my other passwords too just to make sure.

A lot of this going about.. My friend got her account hacked. She got in touch with MSN who asked her questions and eventually decided it was hers.

I know this is old but I think its to do with software on your machine (Legit) that has security holes in it that can send that info to a remote computer when requested.

A version of Quicktime allows people to phish for usernames and passwords.

Its not always best to make sure your software is upto date. I'm still using MSN messenger as a version of Windows Live Messenger caused a lot of people I know to have SVCHOST errors and a variety of other Network errors.

I hate windows live anyway, I always liked MSN better, hmmmmm, how can i roll back lol. I doubt microsoft will have all their previous versions archived!

the reason its happening is that a lot of people are putting answers to their secret questions on myspace. then they hit 'forgot password' on any other site they want to access and it send an email to the hotmail account they just logged into.

If you ask what school you went to or first pet as a security question DONT PUT IT ON YOUR MYSPACE

its increadibly easy to steal someones MSN/Hotmail account, but i wont go into that.

if they have already changed your secret question its really too late
