But do they not need to know your MAC code or your allowed codes and isn't the only way to find these to have physical access to the computer?
Access lists work by using the MAC address of the network card. Reasonably secure until someone spoofs your MAC address

if you are with bt for your bb then you can use their access zones. think its 20minutes access per month. my depend on what package you have with them.

just use WEP (10 digits) which is more secure than an access list, then justtell everyone who uses ur network that key, if u want it more secure use WPA

will a box automaticly pop up asking for a password on everyone elses pc or have i got to put in in somewhere for them?

if it's the same as WEP it will come up when you connect
you can tell it to remember the password though and it'll re-connect everytime the pc comes on provided your WAP is up and running.
