PC went crazy on Sunday, I thinking it had something to do with the Windows Updates that happened on Thursday, it said had 45 updates which it downloaded and installed.
Turned the PC, booted ok, 10 minutes later things started to go downhill. BSOD happened (first time I had ever seen it on Windows 7) It said I didnt shut down correctly, which was strange as i didnt shut it down at all.
Rebooted, nothing happened.
Rebooted again, Error missing Boot file manager. I used the Windows 7 install disk to get back to the desktop. It rebooted and loaded up everything fine. Later on, BSOD appeared. Error - Memory management. I used the disk again, go back to the desktop, ran the memory check all was fine. Ran a virus scan, and every scan I could think of. I even rolled it back a couple of days.
After a few more hours or random errors, including a driver error, I decided to wipe and do a fresh install. (there was only Win 7 and some programs that cant be installed anywhere but on C drive on the hard drive, so I wont loose anything important).

Managed to reinstall the OS - BSOD again, missing boot file manager. How? Its a fresh install.
Wiped drive, reinstalled, I am getting random errors just like before. I have even taken the drive out and wiped it on a different PC just in case my PC wasn't wiping it properly.
PC passes POST, but wont load Windows as it thinks the boot manager is missing. When it does manage to load it, it crashes saying that Windows has had a critical error, but wont tell me which one.
I have disconnected everything bar the monitor, mouse and keyboard when reinstalling.

Anyone know how I can reinstall Windows and get the damn thing to work?
All I wanted to do was finish Batman Arkham Asylum over the weekend.

The latest batch of Win7 updates stopped my keyboard working, had to roll back and am now loathe to install any more updates, Bloody M$ :(

Did it say you had a driver issue?
That was one of my issues, i thought my keyboard and mouse died.

Hmm, could be the drive, What would be a sure fire way to check?
Its an OCZ SSD, replaced due to the previous one failing, so still in waranty (the replacement is about a month old).

It was installed and running without the Win 7 disc in. i could get as far as the desktop before it went belly up. i managed to get as far as running Windows Update once, but it crashed before anything could download.

Okay, send the SSD back, and buy A SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive):

Fantastic drives and only a fraction slower than a SSD but more reliable.

Now we're talking :) Things are starting to lean towards that SSD failure, y'now.

You have any old skool HDD to try the fresh copy on it?

Small update; I took the hard drive to the shop to get it checked (the shop is literally 4 doors down from me). They tested it and said the drive is perfectly fine, and it sounds like a hardware failure somewhere.
The plot thickens....
