Hi All,

Can anyone help...

Looking to get a new monitor (mine is 24" and cost enough at the time) but want something bigger.

The problem is, most monitors larger than that seem to be so expensive!

Also, I thoought about getting a TV as large TVs are much cheaper, but do they come with DVI input?

Bit confused really!

Well iv got no hdmi output on my graphics card so that's not an option lol!

my real question is though, should I go for a large tv or large monitor? TVs are cheaper but I just haven't had experience with displaying a pc through it.

Unless I use DVI - HDMi adapter? or will I lose quality

I use a 32" lg TV via the HDMI port and it does a cracking job, great for viewing photos especially, great for games too.

It wasn't a dear TV - got it from Richer Sounds a couple of years ago ( they sell extended guarantees for 10% of the screen price which gives you peace of mind ) and has been excellent.

Get an adapter and if it's poor then change the graphics card - you'll still be quids inon buying a large dedicated monitor.

Some of the later LG models let you watch TV in a PIP(picture in picture)box too (y)

Yeah might have to consider that :)

Thanks for all the replies! Appreciate it. Will get looking

Keep an eye out in the small ads, ebay etc for a cheap plasma/lcd tv, folks often renew their sets when sporting events starts - like new footy season.

I had a very nice TV for very little a few years ago, if it's for nowt it's worth a try, and who doesn't like 'big and stupid' you tube clips :p
