Easy peasy.... as long as you know the destination IP for the game servers etc or for what ever you wanted to force down ADSL. You just setup the two routers on the same subnet and IP range but differing IPs this gives your network two possible gateways, you can then add static routes to your OS very easily.

They actually supply you with a router that does this (I'd imagine it is swallowed up in your monthly payments?). I would also it has the capacity to route different types of traffic too.

You'd probably need to get a quote from them for exact figures.

Nice spot, a bit more expensive than the Avonline package I've been looking at but might give them a call and see if they'll offer the router too.

Even easier nowadays. Latest sonicwalls have "app-control" you can literally pick YouTube, steam, counterstrike Facebook etc from the list and apply firewall & priority rules to them.

How can it do that? Would it not just be picking the corresponding port i.e 80 or 443 for FB and YT? I know games have their own ports but how would it prioritise web browsing for specific sites?

As nice as that sounds Chris, I don't think I could justify that kind of outlay if it's possible to do it manually with a bit of effort. I'm a Scotsman living in Yorkshire - penny pinching is in my nature

Deep packet inspection. That's how ISPs traffic shape torrents no matter what port number you pick it still gets identified as torrent.

A baby sonicwall can be had for £150ish ya cheap bugger .
