hello eveyone. so i have a problem with my Samsung tocco lite.
everything on it works fine but every now and then the touchscreen throws a wobbly and wont interpret my inputs correctly. e.g no matter how hard i press down it wont unlock. and when i try the contact and menu bar itll open the widgits bar insted. ive already tried a factory reset and removing the battery for a while.. also the phone is way past warantee so thats a no go.. any suggestions people ?

I jumped the gun on the reset.. It worked for all of 5 minutes I think I'll have to live with it

yup.. if i do it it will go back to being broken again afer a while. ive got a feeling its a software fault.

If I remember correctly this problem is quite common and is caused by moisture in the phone. It can be cause by putting the phone in you jeans pocket, the heat and moisture from your body enters the phone and then condences when the phone is removed from your pocket into cold air. A simple cure that may be worth a try is burying the phone in a bowl of uncooked rice over night to draw out any moisture, just remove the battery and cover first.

i have heard of that before.. ill give it a try when ive got some spare time. thanks shady. if that dosent work i think ill look for a new phone
suppose it dosent help having it on the side whilst having a shower lol

Put the phone in a sealed plastic bag with some dry silica gel packets. Nothing to lose & it might suck out the moisture.

I went for the HTC Desire HD. Battery life is a bit poo but the fab screen makes up for that.

for the meantime its still working more than its not. i dont think dropping it a lot helps in any case until it completely brakes ive got no choice but to keep this one. cant afford any of these sparkly phones. so i might upgrade to the full blown tocco
